“While waiting for the winds of time to blow them off their feet, they keep performing … offering revelations of grace and wisdom and forcing audiences to watch dance differently.”

—Newark Star Ledger

PARADIGM was founded by the trio of distinguished dancers Carmen deLavallade, Gus Solomons jr, and Dudley Williams. Together with Keith Sabado Michael Blake, Valda Setterfield and Karen Brown, they form an exciting performance ensemble that vividly illustrates the eloquence that years of experience bring to dance expression, promoting and celebrating the talents of mature artists on stage.

The repertoire includes works by Gus Solomons jr, Dwight Rhoden, Richard Move, Kay Cummings, Geoffrey Holder, Johannes Wieland, Robert Battle, Carmen deLavallade, Larry Keigwin, Wally Cardona, and Jonah Bokaer. The most recent work to be added to the repertory is Donald Byrd’s Dioscori #2, a haunting duet for Solomons and Blake. 2010 will bring an exciting new work for the ensemble from Kate Weare, commissioned by the Princess Grace Foundation.
