KEIGWIN+COMPANY lives to create provocative, witty and engaging dances. Utilizing a collaborative process, Larry Keigwin combines physicality with theatricality, samples a variety of mediums and, ultimately, fuses art with entertainment. He has performed with a wide variety of companies as well as choreographing and dancing for Broadway, Off-Broadway and burlesque showcases. The cumulative effect of these varied influences is a movement style that is at once electrifying and subtle.
Since 2003, K+C has created 15 dynamic works, including audience favorites, Mattress Suite, Love Songs, and Natural Selection. In 2008, Keigwin premiered Elements, an evening-length suite of dances depicting his take on Air, Water, Fire, and Earth. The piece toured to Florida Dance Festival, Bates Dance Festival, American Dance Festival, and Jacob’s Pillow. K+C returned to The Joyce in 2009 and presented the world premiere of Triptych to rave reviews. In the fall of 2009, K+C will travel to Denver to create Bolero/CO and will make their debut at the Kennedy Center.
