JULIAN BARNETT

Born in Tokyo and raised in California, Julian Barnett began break dancing and his formal training at the Idyllwild Arts Academy. Since graduating from NYU/Tisch School of the Arts he has been choreographing and performing in an array of projects with Doug Elkins, Shapiro & Smith, Johannes Wieland, Larry Keigwin, Mark Dendy and others.  He has been a resident choreographer at the Berkshire Theater Festival where he choreographed numerous productions with a standout of his rendition of The Who’s Tommy. Recently, Julian was invited to set his duet, Float, on Hubbard Street Dance Chicago who will premiere the work next season.
